• Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, and operating system for security and analytics purposes.
• Subscription and billing status: plan tier, billing period, and subscription state received from Stripe.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• Process subscription payments and manage your account.
• Enforce plan limits (e.g., daily chapter limits for free users, AI query limits).
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, subscription receipts).

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take your data security seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Supabase (supabase.com): Database and authentication. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic (anthropic.com): Powers the AI research assistant features. Queries submitted to the AI assistant may be processed by Anthropic's systems. We do not share your account identity with Anthropic.

Essential cookies (required for authentication and session management) are always active.
